In case you’re thinking about hiring Sarah Palin to speak at your next event, make sure you provide the following per Palin’s recent contract at a previous speaking event.  A published story talks about the Palin contract:

“The contract detailed the former Alaska governor’s requirements for her visit, including first-class flights from Anchorage to California — if she flies commercial. If not, “the private aircraft MUST BE a Lear 60 or larger …,” the contract specifies.

Palin also must be provided with a suite and two single rooms in a deluxe hotel. During her speech, her lectern must be stocked with two water bottles and bendable straws.”

And don’t forget the $100,000 speaking fee she routinely charges.

The Democrats were walking around in a state of shock.

Holy cow, they were saying to themselves. We’re not total wimps! We don’t have to sit around and let ourselves be slapped silly by Republican bullies and Tea Party scaremongers. We can actually get something done if we suck it up and find a way to pull together.

President Obama’s approval rating climbed to it’s highest level in the weeks at 51%.  This is a 6 point gain from just 7 days ago when his rating was 46%.

What’s the fastest growing segment of health club members? It’s baby boomers. Membership at health clubs among adults 55 and older rose to 10 million from 1.5 back in 1987. “For the first time, we have a cohort of people who are just getting ready to retire and have an expectation of being physically active,” said Wojtek J. Chodzko-Zajko, an exercise scientist and expert in fitness at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.”

An 11 year-old boy Dubai buys real estate for $44 million. Who paid for this?  We did by continuing to buy oil from the Middle East at $75 a barrel.  Millions of barrels everyday. When will we figure this out?  Soon I hope, but I won’t hold my breath.  As experts have said, this is the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the world.  And we’re the ones losing.  Wake up America:

The total price tag: about $44 million — or roughly 10,000 years’ worth of salary for the average citizen of Azerbaijan. But the preteen who owns a big chunk of some of Dubai’s priciest real estate seems to be anything but average.”

The President has seen his approval rating climb to 52% after hitting a low of 48% during the month of February.  Could it be that some of the latest White House moves have helped.  Specifically there was the health care summit, a meeting in from of the GOP, and a possible conclusion to the health care fight.

In a poll on CNN, viewers voted on the top 4 categories and came up with these results: Best Picture – Avatar, Best Director – James Cameron, Best Actor – Jeremy Remmer, Best Actress – Meryl Streep.

Former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin” was on Jay Leno last night and offered up a number of one-line jokes for the audience, including jokes about the White House, Tina Fey and Congress.

Alaska is different from California. In Los Angeles, “when people have a frozen look on their face, I find out it’s Botox.”"

She’s happy she’s not vice president. “I would not know what to do with all that free time,” she quipped.

“It’s so cold in Alaska it’s “5 degrees below Congress’ approval rating.”"

A TV commentator quipped “she is remarkable in front of an audience”. No word on whether Palin is going to change careers.

Reports are circulating that Anderson Cooper is talking with CBS about an anchor role. And that role may be as Katie Couric’s replacement. Couric’s contract ends in less than a year, and CBS has remained third during her tenure as the lead CBS anchor.
